  I am going to make you aware that this is a very long as I feel the truth needs to come out about Doctor Suryani and that he can’t keep treating patients the way he treats them. Having been at this surgery for years, my old Doctor could not have done more for me. He cared for me, knew everything about me and did everything in his power to ensure I always had good health. After being diagnosed by my old Doctor with depression, he immediately did everything he could to help me get back to my old self. Now Dr Suriyani is here, I would rather just suffer in silence then get his "professional" medical opinion. I don't think I could go to a more incompetent, arrogant, ignorant, pathetic excuse of a Doctor. He refused to give me my proper medication and said that I was anxious and not depressed. The old Doctor did tests with me and could see that depression was the main problem. The new Doctor dismissed the claims and gave me a new medication which made me feel worse and gave me horrendous side effects. When I went back to speak about these problems, he said that these are not side effects and that they are other problems (even though the leaflet inside and the NHS website stated these are side effects) and still refused to give me my old medication. I was then dismissed within about 2 minutes and left the surgery feeling worse than when I went in. After visiting another Doctor at the surgery, they said all the problems I was having were actual side effects and put me back on my old medication which did help. The Doctor then halved my dosage and said this should hopefully help. Dr Suryani also told me he was going to test me to see if I had stayed on my new tablets as he said "you will not stay on them you will not bother taking them". When I went back to Suryani, he said go back to the 40mg tablets even though I made him aware that it made me ill and the other Doctor said these are common side effects. I was unable to get an appointment to get more medication, so did a phone call and told him I have taken new tablets everyday and go back to get more every month and he checks the calendar and even had to nerve before to say I wasn't taking them on time. When I proved him wrong he said fine and hung up on me (presumable because he doesn’t like to be proved wrong by someone who is 24 years old and made to feel small). Every time I go into the surgery, I would be seen at least 30 minutes after my original appointment and chucked out of the office within about 1-2 minutes. It then got to a stage where I had to take my Mum or Dad in (bearing in mind I am 24), because he would bend the truth and refused to let me know what he was writing on the notes and I only discovered this when another Doctor was reading something from the notes which was completely inaccurate. During one of my appointments, he didn’t pay attention to me at all and actually made me sit and wait for a minute whilst signing other patients prescriptions, and even when he was speaking to me, he carried on signing them and even left them right in front for me to see. On another occasion, his phone vibrated and he stopped talking to me to read his message. I have been sent out of the room numerous times before as well as he decided to take a phone call. He didn’t even ask politely he just sent me out of the room and shouted for me to come back in with no apology. Unfortunately you can't make this review longer as I had copious amounts to say about this arrogant self centered incredibly thick excuse of a Doctor. He refused to give me treatment until I wrote him an apology letter as he he didn't like me standing up for myself.
